iSearch provides a detailed internet people search to its users. The application scours public data to produce a number of results. Users can view public record data such as location history, age, property area, neighbors and relatives. iSearch also lists professional data such as job title, work history, colleagues, classmates and educational background. Social networking data is included that covers the user’s screen names, interests, lifestyle data and friends on their contact lists. iSearch brings information from white pages, news articles and blogs as well as email addresses associated with the person being searched for. iSearch takes all the relevant information that is available through multiple online resources and compiles it into one convenient search results page.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

The iSearch website uses a very simple, basic design highlighted by the blue iSearch logo. The logo is positioned at the center of the homepage, with a light shadow behind it. Just below, users can find links that allow them to search by specific criteria, such as name, phone number, email address and screen name. Below the links, the user can enter the search criteria before clicking the grey “iSearch” button to the right of the data entry field. The bottom, right hand corner of the homepage includes a row of blue links that help the user find the FAQ page, website policies, iSearch blog and screen name directory.

iSearch offers a helpful service that many users can really appreciate. That being said, it is essentially a specialized search engine. A registration requirement is really not necessary and could deter some users from trying the application. At this time, anyone can use iSearch without logging in. There is no registration option. The user only needs to visit the homepage and fill out the search form with their selected criteria. iSearch shows the user all the results and does not require an account to perform multiple searches.
